Something about cowboys really connects with people. Perhaps its the fact that they serve to remind us of something that we're part of, but have never really experienced. It might be that up there on horseback they seem free, a symbol of how things used to be.

In our time, you're likely to find a cowboy donning a Gore-Tex jacket with a cellphone or a cup of Starbucks in hand. Don't worry... I wouldn't subject you to that. Neither would I want to break the image with any unsightly plywood in the background... thus, we put this fellow out in the hills.

My father, Bill Kinsella, is friends with many horse-folk, he's the man behind the camera. For the last several years we've poked around at rodeos and had a great time together, city fellas wishing they were cowboys.
